This song should help with giving your child a sense of fun as they are learning their alphabet!
Every new way you can think of to help instill in your child a love of reading and literacy will benefit them in untold ways.

In the poster you will see the capital letters of the alphabet. Each letter is shown with an animal or object that begins with that letter. I tried to make the alphabet as phonetic as possible. What I mean by that is that each object or animal chosen to illustrate that letter begins with, for instance in the vowels (a, e, i, o, u), 'short' sounds. For example the sound 'i' as in 'insect' was used here (and not a long sound as in 'i'ce cream) which fits in with the best of phonetic teaching methods.

Why this matters is because when it comes to schooling this is the way that children are now normally taught their alphabet. Plus it's just a great way and makes sense.

Please see below the song words to follow:

I love alphabets. They are not only gorgeous to look at but they are invaluable for getting the next generation to love reading. So they are useful and pretty. Once your child is a reader he or she is then able to take their education into their own hands and advance at a greater pace than would otherwise be the case. So I hope you love this song and tell your friends to come and listen to it too. The more the merrier.
